Được phát triển bởi ThreeCubes, The Woods hứa hẹn sẽ là một game kinh dị hấp dẫn trên iOS trong thời gian tới nhờ sự kết hợp độc đáo giữa phong cách gameplay của Alan Wake và sinh vật bí hiểm Slender Man.

Nội dung:

The Woods is a psychological first person action adventure horror game set deep within an ancient wood. You play a paranormal investigator tasked to uncover the mystery of the woods and lay to rest any spirits within. While avoiding contact with a sinister demon you must collect pages to a ritual book which can be used to send the spirits back to hell for good. The tension builds slowly but soon you will be running for your life, your only defence is your flash light that can burn away spirits momentarily. The Woods is highly atmospheric and will have you terrified to look over your shoulder throughout. There's even a reaction camera built in to capture those jump scare moments utilising a “Picture in Picture” webcam image.

The Woods has even been optimised for older devices allowing for a smooth playable experience on both iPod touch 4G and iPhone 4 even with per-pixel torch lighting. When using newer devices The Woods is simply stunning displaying thick vegetation thought out. Additional Anti-Aliasing has even been added to non retina displays (iPad 2 and iPad mini) compensating for the loss of resolution.

A beautifully smooth and responsive first person control system has be specifically developed to elegantly control both player and the torch giving a very natural feel to movement when peering into the dark dense wood.

Nhìn chung, The Woods sẽ giống với tựa game đình đám Alan Wake trên PC và Xbox 360 của Remedy Entertainment về phong cách gameplay, khi nhân vật chính của người chơi phải một mình chiến đấu chống lại những thế lực kẻ thù luôn ẩn nấp, rình rập trong bóng tối. Đèn pin chính là vật dụng quan trọng nhất để người chơi đối phó với chúng, mà cụ thể ở đây chính là Slender Man - sinh vật bí hiểm trong truyền thuyết của châu Âu với thân hình gầy nhom, hai tay dài ngoằng, khuôn mặt trống rỗng (chỉ có mỗi cái miệng), mặc một bộ đồ vest bên trong là áo sơ-mi trắng với cái cà vạt.

game có vẻ k đc đầu tư công sức, đến cái trailer cũng dùng imovie thủ công để làm
